ByWater Solutions, an open source community supporter and official Koha support company, announced today that the Shuter Library of Angel Fire, in Angel Fire, New Mexico. is now live on their official Koha integrated library system.

The Shuter Library has partnered with ByWater Solutions for their Koha implementation as well as ongoing support and hosting services.

Stephen Saxe, Director of the Shuter Library of Angel Fire, commented on their decision to switch to Koha provided by ByWater Solutions:

“We are extremely pleased with our decision to work with ByWater Solutions in implementing Koha in our library. ByWater provides fantastic support and the migration to their services was flawless. ByWater’s staff is as friendly as they are knowledgable.”

Brendan Gallagher, CEO of ByWater stated: “We are very excited to have the chance to partner with Stephen and the staff of the Shuter Library. One of the greatest things about Koha is that it can deliver the extensive functionality previously only available in high priced ILS systems to smaller libraries worldwide. It opens new doors for both the library’s staff and most importantly, its patrons.”

About the Shuter Library of Angel Fire:
The Angel Fire Community Library was started in 1978 in a back room of the Angel Fire Country Club by seven ladies who found out their beloved bookmobile was not going to make it that day. Now, three decades and a name change later, the Shuter Library is an independent, incorporated, and registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our current building, opened in 2002, is owned in full by the library thanks to the fund-raising efforts of the Friends of the Library, and the generosity of the Shuter Family among many others. The Library is operated by a nine-member Board of Directors, some 50 volunteers and one paid Director. Our collection currently holds roughly 10,000 print and audio books, as well as educational DVDs, a medical reference desk and a dedicated southwest collection.
